A Korean man who served as an interpreter at the 2018 North Korea-U.S. summit in Singapore has been sentenced to prison for illegally filming a bathroom.

Mr. A purchased a miniature camera on February 23rd and installed it in the women’s bathroom. His crime was revealed when the victim found a camera while using the bathroom and reported it to the police.
According to the police investigation, A’s camera showed three women, including the reporter, using the bathroom. On Mr. A’s laptop, about 170 pornographic videos from the Internet and 31 videos of illegally filming a woman’s skirt were found.
After seeing a similar video on an obscene site, Mr. A admitted that he had been illegally filming under a skirt since 2013.
Mr. A is a permanent resident of Singapore and served as an interpreter at the National Police Agency during the North Korea-US summit held in Singapore in June 2018.
