Over the weekend, the Special Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency summoned Choi Seong-beom, chief of the Seoul Yongsan Fire Station, for an intensive investigation.

The special version announced the recall of Park Hee-young, the head of Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and the former head of the intelligence department at Seoul’s Yongsan Police Station this week.
With Ryu Mi-jin, former situation manager at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Lee Im-jae, former chief of Yongsan Police Station in Seoul, and chief Choi, the second investigation into the first person booked is now complete.
Along with this, the special edition plans to summon and investigate the CEO of Hamilton Hotel, who is suspected of illegally expanding the hotel next to the alley where the disaster occurred, as a suspect soon.
The special edition has already said from last week that it will review whether to apply for an arrest warrant for the main suspect this week.
In a situation where it is evaluated that the investigation is slow, and the investigation of the so-called ‘top line’ continues to be pointed out, whether or not to be arrested is expected to be the watershed of the investigation.
After the first round of recruiting for the main suspect, an investigation into the upper ranks seems inevitable.
This is because the special edition has already announced that it will call Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Kim Kwang-ho as soon as possible, and it has announced that it will proceed with all necessary investigations against Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min, who has already been booked due to the firefighting union’s accusation.
In addition, as civic groups accuse 16 high-ranking officials, including Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, the investigation is expected to naturally go to the top.
Previously, on the 25th, the special version seized and searched the fire department, the pinnacle of the fire authorities, and expanded the scope of the investigation to the upper line by including the acting chief of the fire department as the subject of the investigation.
