Hurricane Fiona hit the Atlantic coast of eastern Canada on the 24th local time.

Fiona, who claimed the lives of at least eight people in the Caribbean earlier last week, was weakened by a tropical cyclone, then re-energized by a hurricane when it landed in Canada.

At an instant of over 160 km/h, a gust of wind blew, uprooting trees and toppling over the trees, and the roof of the silo was blown away.

Electric poles in various places collapsed, cutting electricity to 500,000 households.

Canada’s disaster authorities estimate that it will take several months to recover from unprecedented damage, such as houses collapsing and falling facilities in strong winds.

As the damage was so severe, Prime Minister Trudeau canceled the attendance of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and announced that he would mobilize the military to recover the damage.

At around 5 pm local time on the 25th, ‘Super Typhoon’ Noroo made landfall on Polo Island, 60 km east of Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

With strong winds of up to 195 km/h, roe deer is the most powerful typhoon that has approached the Philippines this year.

Thousands of islanders were evacuated prior to landing, ships and aircraft were suspended, and schools and government offices closed.
