[국제]Russia to withdraw from Dnipro River… Resumes airstrikes across Ukraine

Archyde.com and AFP reported that Russia began withdrawing its administration from some areas during the west bank of the Dnipro River in southern Ukraine’s Kherson Oblast on the 15th local time.

The pro-Russian administration of Kherson Oblast said in a Telegram message that “as a result of the attack by the Ukrainian forces, the Nova Kahouka city administration and staff of municipal agencies have left the city and been reassigned to safer places in the region.”

Nova Kahouka is a city located on the banks of the Dnipro River in the Kherson Oblast. If Ukraine occupied this area, it would be the first post-war crossing of the Dnipro from Kherson Oblast.

In particular, the Kahouka Dam, which connects the Nova Kahouka and the west bank of the river, is the only way to cross the Dnipro River in Kherson, except for the Antonovsky Bridge in Kherson.

If the Ukrainian army takes control of the Kahouka Dam and Nova Kahouka, it will be able to aim for the restoration of the entire Kherson region, including the banks of the Dnieper River, and the invasion of the Crimean Peninsula.

Meanwhile, Russia resumed missile strikes across Ukraine, including Kiev, in about two weeks.

Kiu Mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirmed via Telegram that three residential buildings in the region were hit by Russian missiles.
