The business of extracting petroleum from waste plastic or waste vinyl is in full swing.

The era in which garbage becomes a resource is fast approaching.

If you cut waste plastic into small pieces and put it in the machine, thermal decomposition takes place in a reactor heated to 400~500 degrees.

The process of extracting vinyl from oil is reversed, and by cooling the gaseous oil, heavy oil and light oil can be obtained.

The domestic petrochemical industry is accelerating the development of pyrolysis technology to chemically recycle waste vinyl or plastic.

SK innovation started using pyrolysis oil as a raw material in some oil refining and petrochemical processes from last year, and Hyundai Oilbank is preparing to enter the global market by acquiring the international eco-friendly product certification for pyrolysis oil for the first time in a domestic refinery.

Companies that make petroleum using wavelength energy made by ceramic catalysts rather than pyrolysis have also appeared.

When the ramen bag went into the facility, the plastic part was drained out as oil, leaving only the aluminum.

Instead of applying heat, it is a method of extracting oil by breaking the chain of carbon molecules like a microwave oven.

In recognition of its technological prowess, it has received patents in more than 20 countries around the world and has also completed export contracts to the UK.

In an era in which waste is also reborn as a valuable resource, recycling is no longer an option but a necessity.
