[영상] ’19 naturalized’ Chinese ice hockey team loses 0-8 to the US in their debut game

The Chinese men’s ice hockey team lost 8-0 to the United States in their Olympic debut.

China lost 8 points to the United States in the first match of Group A of the men’s ice hockey group at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics held at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China on the night of the 10th.

China, which automatically participated in the Olympics as the host country, ranked 32nd in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Rankings, and ranked last among the 12 teams that participated in the finals.

China, which does not have an ice hockey league, formed a national team by recruiting players from North America to participate in the Olympics.

The US national team was also far from the best due to the lack of NHL players, but it was an easy victory against the Chinese team.

Countries that participate in ice hockey at the Winter Olympics often naturalize foreign players.

In the case of Korea, 7 foreign athletes from North America also wore the Taegeuk mark at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

However, in the case of the Chinese ice hockey team, there are 19 naturalized players, which is three times more than the existing six Chinese players.
