Doha: Green parks are being prepared across Qatar. According to the Ministry of Municipalities, construction work on 14 Al Furjan Parks is 85 percent complete.
The idea behind this project is to give residents quick and convenient access to green spaces without having to travel far. Green space covers 70 percent of each park, which the ministry said will increase Qatar’s green area per capita.
These parks have an area of 1,23,048 square meters. Most parks have walking paths, bicycle tracks, exercise equipment, and playgrounds.
Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, Mohammad Arqub Al Khaldi, said that Al Furjan Parks are the result of the government’s efforts to protect the environment and improve the quality of life of residents.
