15 cyclists riding on a towpath between Gijzegem and Aalst were injured on Tuesday afternoon. One of the cyclists fell and took his fellow riders with him in his fall.
Two of the cyclists are seriously injured.
Ambulances and emergency services moved en masse to transfer the injured to hospital. A medical intervention plan has been announced
The police are currently carrying out the first interrogations to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
