For more than a decade, the list of world airlines awarded by Skytrax has been monopolized by Asian airlines and those from the Gulf. Air France resists.

Since 1999, the independent British organization Skytrax establishes each year a world ranking of the best airlines. To compose this list, known in the aviation community as the “Oscars of the aviation industry”, more than 14 million passengers were questioned over 11 months (from September 2021 to August 2022). Customers had to answer various questions relating to their trip: quality of service in the cabin, quality of the flight (seat comfort, quality of meals, choice of audiovisual programmes, etc.), experience before and after the flight (ease of booking in line, waiting time, baggage delivery, etc.), but also a questionnaire relating to the various measures taken to fight against Covid-19. The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022 ceremony was held in London on September 23 and here are the results.
