A road accident caused one death on the E17 towards Antwerp near Waasmunster, in East Flanders. A truck and a car collided around 4:50 a.m. this morning. The car was thrown onto the road and was then struck by another vehicle.
A 22-year-old woman, the driver of the first car, died. The second vehicle caught fire but the occupants were able to get out in time. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries, according to HLN.
As of 7 a.m., traffic was still disrupted.
