While the number of people hospitalized for Covid-19 cases has fallen below 29,000 in France, indicators of the epidemic continue to decline.
In the last 24 hours, 396 people have died in hospital from Covid-19, according to the latest report from Public Health France published this Friday evening. On Thursday, this figure stood at 340 and Wednesday at 381. In total, 51,914 people have died in France since the start of the pandemic.
28,620 people are currently hospitalized for cases of Covid-19, or 690 less in 24 hours, including 3,871 in intensive care. In addition, 1,471 patients were admitted to hospital and 206 in intensive care in the last 24 hours.
12,459 new cases of Covid-19 were identified in 24 hours, against 13,563 on Thursday. The test positivity rate is still down and shows 11.7, against 12.2% Thursday and 13% Wednesday.
