A total of 4,132 people are selected in this local election, and 7,616 people are registered as candidates.

The average competition ratio was 1.8 to 1, the lowest in the history of local elections.

In the last three local elections, the competition ratio was 2.5 to 1 and 2.3 to 1.

Analysts say that the competition rate has decreased as it is a local election held two months after the two-party structure was formed in the presidential election.

This is more than five times the number of those elected without a vote in the 2018 local elections, the highest in the past 20 years.
