5-year-old killed while filming social media video

A horror story struck a family in Minnesota, United States, celebrating Thanksgiving Thursday night.

In Brooklyn Park, near Minneapolis, a 13-year-old allegedly accidentally killed a five-year-old with a gun he was using to shoot a video for his social media.

According to the preliminary investigation, a group of four or five players took a gun that was in the residence and brought it to the garage to film a video.

A shot was fired and a young boy who was part of the group was hit by the projectile. When they arrived, the emergency services tried to revive the five-year-old, but it was too late.

“This is an unfortunate accident that is being rigorously investigated,” Brooklyn Park Police Department Chief Mark Bruley said.

The teenager was arrested and detained in a center for minors.

Adults were present at this family gathering. In particular, the investigation will attempt to determine who supervised the children and how they were able to access the firearm.

“We have to keep weapons and ammunition separate and locked up. As adults, we have a responsibility that young people cannot get their hands on it, ”said Mark Bruley.

The guns claimed at least 35 other victims on Thursday as Americans celebrated Thanksgiving, one of the nation’s most popular holidays, according to the Gun Violence Archives website.
