An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in southern Peru at 8:11 pm Taiwan time, with a depth of 93.4 kilometers. The earthquake triggered landslides and disrupted external transportation in nine cities. The local government has dispatched rescue teams. Details of the casualties are still to be clarified.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) pointed out that a magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred in Peru at 8:11 pm on the 21st (Taiwan time). The epicenter was located at 15.960° south latitude, 72.603° west longitude, and a depth of 93.4 kilometers.

According to “CCTV”, the local government under Arequipa in southern Peru stated that the earthquake triggered landslides and nine cities lost external transportation links. Among them, two highways were interrupted, and rescue teams have been dispatched to clear the roadblocks. In addition, the hospital at the epicenter said that it had not received any reports of casualties.
