A 7-year-old child has been arrested and later charged with starting an arson attack at the family home in West Virginia, USA.
While his parents were sleeping, on May 24, the young American set fire to his home, which was completely destroyed.
Two people, his mother and stepfather, narrowly escaped the flames. They suffered minor burns.

The day after the incident, the local sheriff announced the arrest of the 7-year-old’s stepfather. He is suspected by the authorities of having abused the child.
According to CNN, a video showing the child being physically abused has come to the attention of investigators.
