The 7th Global Investor Week is being held from October 2 to 8, 2023, under the aegis of the Financial Markets Authority. Objective: to inform savers about investments, particularly sustainable ones, cryptoassets and to warn them against scams.
Three main themes are highlighted for this edition: the resilience of savers in times of inflation, cryptoassets and sustainable finance. As well as alerts on financial scams!
Investor Week: numerous educational events
In a context of high inflation, which confuses many individuals, financial education is essential. The Financial Markets Authority (AMF) brings together numerous partners for this educational week, organized globally by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). Among these partners, our association Finance for All. Objective : give you the keys to better understand the advantages and risks of different investments, their horizon and their characteristics. The emphasis is particularly placed on sustainable finance, which allows you to give meaning to your savings.

The AMF, for its part, offers three events:
From October 2 : A MOOC carried out with the INC on the theme “how to effectively manage your savings and investments”.
Tuesday October 3 at 6 p.m. : the AMF and the INC invite you to meet to talk about sustainable finance and how to give meaning to your savings.
Thursday October 5 at 6 p.m. : the AMF and the Federation of Individual Investors and Investment Clubs (F2iC) invite you to follow a webinar on trading.

For example: launch of Next Challenge (partner of Finance for All) intended for students, the 2023 edition of which will be officially launched on October 2. This competition allows students throughout France, individually or in teams, to learn how to manage a fictitious portfolio of securities.
The French Association of Financial Management (AFG) is relaunching its campaign “ Be an actor in my savings » which is based on the guide « 12 principles for saving and investing ».
Financial scams: stay on your guard!
The AMF and the ACPR continue to warn individuals against the risks of financial scams: false savings accounts, loans or financial investments.
In 2022, nearly 6,000 names of unauthorized sites or actors have been added to blacklists! Nearly 942 cases of identity theft were detected.
The increase in the volume of these thefts is accompanied by an improvement in the techniques used, making the fraud increasingly difficult for users to detect: concealment of the email addresses used, telephone calls from false numbers, collection of information personal information allowing users to be distracted.
