A Boeing capsule took off to the International Space Station for a test flight

The Boeing space capsule, Starliner, took off Thursday evening from Florida atop an Atlas V rocket, heading for the International Space Station, which it should reach in about 24 hours, according to a live broadcast from NASA.

This test flight, without passengers on board, should make it possible to prove that the capsule is safe to transport humans. It takes place with years of delay, after a first failed attempt in 2019, and canceled at the last moment in 2021. In the meantime, Boeing has been overtaken by SpaceX, which already provides regular transport of astronauts to the Space Station on behalf of NASA. (Belga)
