While Storm Ciara is currently blowing over western Europe, many planes are having difficulty landing, particularly in the United Kingdom, due to weather conditions.
This is the case for flight BA2749 of the British company British Airways. The latter was to connect Geneva to Gatwick Airport in London, but the aircraft failed to land despite two attempts.
according to Progress who was able to question British Airways, the plane was unable to land at the airport because of the strong gusts of wind which shake Britain.
The plane then turned around for Switzerland but the pilot had to make an emergency call to land quickly, the plane having exhausted almost all its kerosene due to the extended flight time.
The aircraft finally landed at Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport where, according to the British company, the passengers could be taken care of.
