The Open Vld has just tabled a bill aimed at establishing a federal electoral district which would designate 20 of the 150 deputies in the Chamber, announced its president Egbert Lachaert and its deputy Patrick Dewael at Standaard on Friday. “The current system rewards politicians who castigate the other community,” analyzes Mr. Dewael. “This generates a negative spiral that leads to blockage”.
