Around 7 p.m. this Saturday, the firefighters were called for a mattress fire at Place de la Minoterie in Molenbeek. Molengeek co-founder Ibrahim Ouassari, located in the building against which the fire broke out, tweeted this Sunday morning: “MolenGeek on fire”
The Brussels firefighters explain to us that their report does not report any damage to the premises of the non-profit organization oriented towards digital education and training and access to employment. “There may have been some smoke, however,” said firefighter spokesman Walter Derieuw. On the ground floor, windows were reportedly shattered by the fire.
He adds that windows were broken by the fire on the ground floor.
Ibrahim Ouassari specifies, still on Twitter, that the young people of MolenGeek will come and help clean up this afternoon so that they can reopen tomorrow.
