The Magic Costa Blanca hotel chain has launched an original offer that is highly geared to current crisis times: discounts of up to 30% for families with unemployed or affected by an ERTE due to the coronavirus pandemic. Potentially four million workers can benefit in this situation.
With the slogan «Let no Spaniard be left without a holiday», the group with establishments in Benidorm and several other destinations in the Valencian Community have encouraged other hotels to follow suit.
“One of the slogans that has always marked the social policy of the Magic Costa Blanca hotel chain has been and is that vacations are not a luxury or a privilege, but a necessity and a right,” stressed company sources.
Hence, this “strong commitment so that prominent groups especially affected by the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic enjoy a well-deserved vacation this summer with the best security guarantees and special advantages,” they add.
Thus, in the case of those affected by an ERTE or unemployed, the discount will be applied to all those who when they make the reservation are in that situation. For this sector, the promotion includes up to a 30% discount in the event that two people from the same family unit are unemployed or in ERTE. If only one of its members is affected, the discount will be 15%.
In both situations, the beneficiaries must accredit such condition during the check-in, by means of a work life report or certificate of their situation, with an age of the documents of no more than 7 days with respect to their entry. Both documents can be easily obtained from the General Treasury of Social Security.
The promotions will be applied to both the price of the hotel rooms and the state-of-the-art resort cabins, for stays from the end of June to the beginning of September, always in “ultra all-inclusive”, “star” regime of the chain that always includes consumption of top brand products.
8,505 bed plant
The Magic Costa Blanca hotel chain has 12 establishments in the Valencian Community, which total 8,505 beds under direct management and up to 1,875 employees in high season. Now, all hotels are being subjected to a strict protocol to adjust their facilities to the safety and hygiene measures that the health authorities dictate to restart tourist activity at the moment when the transit of people between provinces is allowed.
“The coronavirus crisis has changed the lives of many families, and we saw it as unfair that the decrease in income this year prevented them from enjoying a good and fun holiday by the sea,” says the president of Magic Costa Blanca, Francisco García.
The campaign is linked to the decision, announced weeks ago, to raffle 50 free vacations for as many families of restrooms and security forces personnel from the end of the state of alarm and until the end of the year. This proposal has been very well received, to the point that more than 2,000 professionals have already processed their application, whose only requirement is to send a short account of their experience during the pandemic, so that a jury from outside the company will decide the beneficiaries. definitive. .
