No less than 32 cases of COVID-19 have been added to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean’s toll in the last 24 hours. The region has accumulated a total of 750 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The good news is that there are no deaths today. That’s 178 cases in the last seven days in the region with successive cases of 38-13-25-17-24-29 and 32.
The CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean reports that four cases are linked to the outbreak at the Alma hospital (total 41), no new cases at the Isidore-Gauthier residence and that several cases are contacts of known cases who were already in isolation. Epidemiological investigations are continuing for each of the situations.
As of Friday, the number of people recovered stood at 458 and the number of active cases was 204 (data not available on weekends, including statistics by MRC) and as of Saturday the number of hospitalizations reached 15 .
Quebec recorded 1,094 new cases this Sunday, but no deaths. However, six deaths are still added to the balance sheet while three deaths would have occurred between October 11 and 16, a death that dates back before the 1is October and two others, the date of which is unknown. The total is 6,038 deaths and 93,391 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic in La Belle Province.
