It was passers-by who made the discovery this Saturday morning. Around 7 a.m., Quai de Namur in Huy, they saw what looked like a body, floating on the water. Huy firefighters and police were notified and rushed to the scene. Firefighters were able to extract the body at 7:15 a.m.
He is a man of around 60 who has not yet been formally identified. The medical examiner ruled out any intervention by a third party. Everything suggests that it was an accident.
According to the first observations, it would be a body that had been in the water for some time.
