In Linz’s “Theater in der Innenstadt” (downtown theater) everything currently revolves around Bud Spencer and Terence Hill: the theater has dedicated the musical “Halleluja 83” to the legendary action heroes, in which theater director Nik Raspotnik and Oliver Roitinger can be seen in the leading roles. In the play by Oliver Erenyi, Bud and Terry are brothers who are supposed to inherit the fortune of the Fuzzy Oil Company – but only if they endure some adventure. Already on November 25th, the next celebrity will be in the spotlight in the house at Museumsstrasse 7a: Nik Raspotnik will organize an Elvis Presley evening with a live band under the title “Rockin ‘Christmas”.
The 100-seat theater came through the crisis well, says Raspotnik: “We were able to renew the bar, technology and artists’ changing rooms.” The host is proud of his audience: “We are a house of pop culture and have many visitors who visit a theater for the first time.” He notices that the influx of visitors is growing: “The booth is slowly coming back to life.” (hes)
