A man deprived of his liberty for having shot a gun at his son in Dalhem

This inhabitant of Warsage (Dalhelm) would have shot in the direction of his son with a firearm. Investigations are in progress.

According to the first elements communicated by the Liège prosecutor’s office, the man went to his son’s home on Saturday, who lives in the same street as him. As the son was mowing the lawn, he heard an explosion. He turned around and saw his father holding a gun.

The police intervened and arrested the father of the family. The Liège public prosecutor’s office has been informed of the facts. It would seem, according to the first elements, that the rifle was indeed loaded but that the bullet remained in the firearm.

As a result, the man was brought before the public prosecutor’s office, deprived of his liberty and placed under an arrest warrant.

Additional investigative duties are underway to determine what exactly happened. The Liège public prosecutor’s office qualified the facts as attempted murder.
