This Tuesday, December 8, as part of the Durango Fair program, EITB will present a new music session ‘Bidegurutzean’. The screening will take place at 7:00 pm at the Rural Center. Among those present will be ETB director Edu Barinaga, Galder Izagirre, director of the new session and a member of the Skakeitan music group and one of the protagonists of the first session. After the presentation, a screening of the first section will be offered.
Music will be the main focus of the ‘Crossroads’ session. It aims to be a meeting place for various musicians from the Basque Country; to give visibility to the musicians here, and to offer the audience a more complete picture of Basque music. The session includes an innovative format; a crossroads and a recording booth.
In each section of the ‘Crossroads’ program, there will be three guests (groups and soloists), with different ages, itineraries and levels of experience. Each guest will have a conversation in the phone booth, then record their own song, and finally the three guests will sing one song of each together. Short narrations recorded in voice-over will serve as a bridge between the guests. The first episode will feature Izaro, Gari and Skakeitan.
