Early Thursday afternoon, a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a motorist occurred on Boulevard Zénobe Gramme, near the Fiat garage, in Herstal.
The victim struck, an 86-year-old man, fell on his head and presented with serious trauma. He was transported by ambulance to the CHR de la Citadelle. The Liège public prosecutor’s office confirmed that the victim had not died, but that his state of health was worrying.
According to the information transmitted, both the driver of the vehicle, an 80-year-old man, and the man crossing the pedestrian crossing, were inattentive. The motorist, who was not driving fast when the facts occurred, is particularly shocked by the facts.
