A train hit a person at the Robert Lelong street level crossing in Brasménil on Tuesday evening. The victim would be a man. He died instantly. The train, which was traveling in the Tournai-Mons direction, stopped a little further. Twenty passengers were on board. The latter were evacuated and brought to Mons station via a bus.
It is not known what caused the accident or whether it was an accident or a desperate act.
