A person, who was on the railway, hit by a train between Bruxelles-Midi and Braine-l’Alleud: the victim died

Train traffic has been at a standstill since 9:40 a.m. Tuesday morning on the Bruxelles-Nivelles-Charleroi line between Bruxelles-Midi and Braine-l’Alleud, SNCB and Infrabel indicate, after a personal accident took place at height from Rhode-Saint-Genèse station.

The train, which ran from Antwerp to Nivelles, hit a person who, for some unknown reason, was on the tracks. The victim died.

The two rail operators warn of severe disturbances for at least several hours.

Replacement buses have been put in place.
