And Maryam said through her official account on the “Instagram” website: “I am grateful to be the first Arab, the first Saudi, and the first woman to travel from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt to swim,” and she added in another post: “I did not expect to swim, without a cage to protect me from sharks, but Putting ourselves outside our comfort zone is what makes us strong.”

And she said in another post: “Swimming from Saudi Arabia to Egypt has always been one of my dreams. Today I have achieved it. Thank you to Louis Pogue. They introduced me to him, and I knew about his plan to swim across the Red Sea. I could not miss the opportunity.”
