A video clip documented by an Egyptian citizen in the Haram plateau area in Giza governorate caused a shockwave on social media, as it showed the harassment and harassment of foreign tourists by a group of young people and children during Eid al-Fitr.
The video, which was widely circulated on social networking sites as well as media outlets, monitored the moment foreign girls tried to escape after a number of people were exposed to them and trying to touch their bodies and photograph them against their will.
Two tourists appeared in the video clip, in the pyramid area, in a state of fear and great tension after a large number of boys approached them, to harass them, and they did not leave them and continued to walk behind them despite the attempts of the two tourists to escape from them.
The person who captured the video said: “We want this video to be conveyed to the Minister of Tourism. This place is on the pyramid plateau on Eid al-Fitr. Countries harass foreigners.”
For their part, Egyptian security sources said that the specialized agencies from the Tourism and Antiquities Investigations Department examined the video clip in order to identify the suspects who appeared in it for arrest.
The sources stated that the foreign girls did not write a report on the incident, but the security services moved on their own to examine the circumstances of the accident after watching the video clip, and to take the necessary measures.
