Absolutely new cross-coupe UAZ-469 Hunter 2022-2023 was revealed shortly before the debut: first photos

Recently, there have been more and more rumors that UAZ company will either be sold to foreign (rather Chinese) investors, or it will provide third-party companies with part of its production capacity. In this vein, more and more often appears Chery. But if UAZ chooses the second option, then the likelihood of a global modernization of the model range is reduced to zero. This is explained by the fact that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will have to search and develop technological solutions on its own, with the help of which the enterprise will be able to upgrade its own cars.

Judging by the latest news, the second option is becoming more and more likely. In this case, UAZ will work on targeted updates to the model range, which will help reduce the cost of modernizing both cars and production facilities. But even with this approach, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will be able to create original models.

The domestic designer announced the publication of a series of renders depicting the first-ever cross-coupe UAZ Hunter 2022-2023. The author of these sketches showed that even in the case of a point update of an SUV, its appearance can change dramatically: the SUV has acquired a more modern look. But the new Hunter will probably cost about the same as the current version of the model.

Two facts speak in favor of the latter assumption. Firstly, as already noted, minimal changes will not require large investments, which will help keep the cost of an SUV at the same level. Secondly, the new cross-coupe UAZ-469 2022-2023 should retain the 2.7-liter “aspirated” with a 5-speed “mechanics”. UAZ has not yet made any statements that it plans to introduce another engine into its cars.
