Rail traffic on the Nivelles-Brussels rail line will be interrupted for ten days starting from Friday evening, March 31 to Monday morning, April 10, due to work on line 124. Moreover, the S19 Louvain – Bruxelles-Schuman – Nivelles route will have additional stops at Hal and Moensberg. The work aims to lay tracks at Waterloo station, carry out engineering work between Rhode-Saint-Genèse and Braine-l’Alleud, and lay two new bridges in Lillois. Train travelers can find all the practical information and their transport alternatives on the SNCB website. Works will also take place between Mouscron and Tournai, and during weekdays, all trains will be replaced by SNCB buses.

Direct buses with stops at Brussels-Midi, Braine-l’Alleud and Nivelles will thus replace the IC trains. Other buses, replacing the S trains, will also run at the following stops: Bruxelles-Midi, Forest-Est, Uccle-Stalle, Uccle-Calevoet, Moensberg, Linkebeek, Rhode-Saint-Genèse, Waterloo, Braine-l’Alleud, Lille and Nivelles. They will however not stop at Holleken and De Hoek but will make an additional stop at Moensberg. Travelers from these two stations can take bus 155 De Lijn to or from Moensberg with their SNCB ticket.
The route of the S19 Louvain – Bruxelles-Schuman – Nivelles is also diverted between Saint-Job and Linkebeek with an additional stop at Hal and Moensberg. Travelers departing from Charleroi are invited to travel via Braine-le-Comte or La Louvière-Sud by train. From Marchienne-au-Pont, they can reach Nivelles and then take direct SNCB buses to Brussels.
