After Athlete Al-Hikma’s problem, strict decisions of the Lebanese Basketball Federation

The Lebanese Basketball Federation held an emergency session headed by Akram Al-Halabi and attended by all members. The Federation issued the following decisions:

Pursuant to Article 149 of the bylaws:
Al-Riyadi fans suspended 6 matches and fined 500 units.

Confirming the referees’ decision to lose Al-Hikma Club 20-0, while giving the club the right to appeal before the Appeals and Objection Committee.
– Arrest of administrators from both parties, pursuant to Article 148.
Al-Halabi confirmed that “Al-Riyadi’s matches will be moved to a neutral stadium in order to avoid compromising the civil peace.”
Considering that “what happened today is a threat to civil peace, and he called on the security services to open an immediate investigation into what happened today, especially as it endangered the lives of many, as well as injuring members of the security services.”

Al-Halabi said, “If some people think that in this way they are eliminating Lebanese basketball, this will not happen, and we will continue, even on a neutral stadium and without an audience.”
