Aina Tur shares a “traumatic personal experience” in the High Season

High Season will premiere this Friday A galaxy of fireflies, a monologue written and directed by Aina Tur and performed by Anna Alarcón. The work relives a “traumatic” personal experience that Tur had 22 years ago in a Latin American country which, for security reasons, has requested that it not be made public. The text recounts how the director was victim of an armed assault and the subsequent reaction of the police and the country’s leaders.

“What the play exposes is how the state developed its maximum violence, by the mere fact that the victims were European,” Tur explains. For his part, Alarcón highlighted the “impact” of the text on reading it and noted that it is a work that “catches” the viewer.
