Air Caraïbes and French Bee test a digital health certificate

The health passport is at the heart of debates in the tourism industry, but governments are slowing down around a subject that is proving delicate. However, the stakes are high.

Passengers expect a quick and safe resumption of long-distance travel, with a travel experience as close as possible to the pre-pandemic period,“explains Muriel Assouline, general manager for French bee.

Except that Air Caraïbes and French Bee did not wait for the executive to move to activate. The companies of the Dubreuil group have therefore decided to test a new technology, based on blockchain, from Orly airport.

The ICC AOKpass application, developed with the support of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), is intended as a digital health certificate.

Pilots will be set up from Paris-Orly airport to the French overseas departments and territories (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion and Tahiti) for Air Caraïbes and French Bee, and deployed from the beginning of March 2021.
