Airbus regrets US tariffs and hopes for changes if the WTO approves EU retaliation

PARIS (Reuters) – European aerospace company Airbus said on Saturday that it deeply regretted the US decision to increase tariffs on aircraft imported from the European Union, and said this would harm US airlines and their customers.

Airbus also hoped that Washington would change its position as soon as the World Trade Organization authorized the EU to impose tariffs on Boeing aircraft, including 737 MAX, 787 and 777 aircraft in May or June.
