Al-Ahly consolidates its records in the history of the Champions League

Al-Ahly strengthened its records in the history of the African Champions League, after qualifying for the final match for the third time in a row and the 15th in its history, breaking the previous record recorded in his name in the number of times to qualify for the final of the tournament.

Al-Ahly qualified for the Champions League final for the 15th time yesterday evening, Saturday, at the expense of Algeria’s ES Setif, after a positive draw with it 2-2 in the semi-final second leg match at the July 5 stadium in the Algerian capital.

Al-Ahly had won 4-0 in the first leg in Cairo, to bypass the semi-finals by defeating the Algerian champion 6-2 in the aggregate of the first and return matches.

Of the 14 times that Al-Ahly reached the final of the Champions League, the African champions managed to win the tournament ten times, while losing it four times.

Al-Ahly will meet in the final match, on May 30th, in Morocco, with the Moroccan Wydad team, which defeated Angolan Petro Atlético in the aggregate of the first and second legs, 4-2.
