Iraqi artist Kazem El-Saher revealed, on Saturday, details of his failure to attend the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup in Basra Governorate.
Al-Saher said in an audio recording transmitted by social media, commenting on his failure to come to Basra, “One call was from the governor to my business manager, and he apologized in a beautiful way, and the governor was a classy person and said I appreciate the circumstance, and we told him, God willing, again it will be.”
Al-Saher denied asking for sums of money in return for coming to Iraq, saying that “these things are not honest.”
He added, “I was preparing a song for me and Karim al-Iraqi, and it was in classical Arabic. I performed it, but it is not at the level that I want.”
Social media was buzzing a few days ago with news and comments about Kazem El Saher not attending the Gulf Championship 25.
