Al-Sakka re-presents the play “My Beautiful Lady”…and the author reveals the details

A major artistic surprise revealed by the Egyptian poet and author Ayman Bahjat Qamar, represented in the re-presentation of the play “My Beautiful Lady” presented by the late Fouad Al-Mohandes and Shweikar, and written by Bahjat Qamar, the father of the lyric poet.

The new play is starring Ahmed El-Sakka, Reem Mustafa, Mohamed Abdel-Rahman and Alaa Morsi, and it is scheduled to be shown on the sixth of December, during the Riyadh Season.

A clear case of controversy caused by that news, some reject this adventure, and adhere to the original text that was presented and achieved very great public success, while others bet on renewal and are eager to see the new text and what will be presented on the stage.

Ayman Bahjat Qamar commented on that step in media statements with the journalist Sharif Amer, as a risk, as he commented, “We play in electricity,” indicating that he has the ability to present a pure novel of his authorship, but there is a great concern he has because of his children and the young generation that did not He watches the works that were presented in the time of black and white.

Therefore, his re-publishing of classic works will be beneficial in the beginning for the artistic movement, and the recipient will see strong and unrepeatable works, revealing some exclusive scenes about this play, including the disappearance of part of the main opening song of the show.

He indicated that he is seeking to revive the old songs of the play, and to redistribute them again, after obtaining permission from the owners.

And about what is reported about a comparison with the senior professors, Ayman Bahgat Qamar confirmed that there is no comparison with the adults because this is unfair to the current generation, and there is an artistic vision that is progressing for the present time.

He revealed Ahmed El-Sakka’s extreme enthusiasm for presenting the current text, as he explained that the old play was presented in 4 hours, but he presents the new text in only two hours, stressing that he is doing the matter because this is his role towards his father’s legacy.

Ayman Bahjat Qamar, in his interview with the Egyptian journalist Sherif Amer, did not address the criticisms that were leveled, but he commented on them through “Facebook”, where he took advantage of the writer Amr Mahmoud Yassin’s defense of the work and the response to the criticisms leveled.

Ayman Bahgat Qamar responded to him, stressing that these criticisms created free publicity for the play before it was shown, and he promised his colleague to be the first to attend when the play was shown in Egypt.
