On Sunday, the office of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, announced the completion of the second phase of the reconstruction of the Al-Imamin Al-Kadhimin Hospital in Baghdad.
The office said in a statement, “In implementation of the government program and as part of the hospital rehabilitation campaign that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani directed to continue to include (24) hospitals, the second phase of the reconstruction of the Two Imams (PBUH) Medical City Hospital has been completed.”
The statement added, “The stage included the opening of (4) modern operating halls, the rehabilitation of (10) operating halls in the expansion operations, in addition to (5) in the Japanese building, the complete rehabilitation of (8) halls, and the rehabilitation of (48) rooms that include rooms containing (4-6) beds, with a total of (254) beds, and the installation of surveillance cameras and an early warning system,” indicating that the stage also included “the rehabilitation of the central cooling system, the rehabilitation of elevators, and the rehabilitation of sewage lines.”
The first phase included the complete reconstruction of the first complex of the Japanese building, consisting of (6) floors with (22) halls containing (550) beds with their accessories, and included sanitary ware, electricity, secondary floors and ceilings, and hotel services, according to the statement.
