The Ministry of Transport announced that the development and restoration of Misr Station in Alexandria has been completed, while preserving the entire archaeological character of the station and its historical design, under the supervision of the Civil Coordination Authority and the Committee for the Protection of Architectural and Urban Heritage of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The ministry stated that the interior hall, ticket halls, external parking lot and administrative offices were developed, the ceilings were strengthened, the facade of the ancient station was restored, and all the sidewalks of the station were completely developed, which has become an antique masterpiece that has fully restored its luster and an architectural masterpiece that adorns the center of Alexandria.
The development also included raising the efficiency of the field in front of the station and the adjacent streets, as part of several projects implemented in the second capital of Egypt.
