Years go by and former New York Yankees star, Alex Rodriguez, is still involved in controversial issues. Last Friday a lawsuit against him brought by Constantine Scurtis, Whoever it was her ex brother in law from 2002 to 2008.
The extensive lawsuit consists of 136 pages that were presented in the civil court of Miami, whose documents were revealed until this Tuesday. The plaintiff accuses A-Rod of being a treacherous and fraudulent person, to give just a few examples. Below all the details of the lawsuit facing the former third baseman of the Bombers.
Cynthia Scurtis’ brother alleges that the American of Dominican descent owes him several million dollars in late payments for real estate deals that were made when the former baseball player and his sister married. Rodríguez’s ex-brother-in-law also holds him responsible for having forged documents and illegally excluding him from the company they both founded in that decade.
As if that were not enough, Constantine blamed A-Rod for having altered the figures for the material damage suffered by several of his properties after the passage of Category 4 Hurricane Ike, which in 2008 hit hard on the coasts of the United States, Canada, and other Caribbean countries.
Scurtis claims that Rodríguez paid a whistleblower to remain silent after the alleged plan to take advantage of the devastation caused by the cyclone.
