The Federal police arrested a group of people in the last hours that made up an important cell dedicated to the distribution of child pornography. The raids were part of a global operation bearing the name Narsil, which was carried out simultaneously in different countries.
As detailed by the authorities, the network worked in Bulgaria, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Sri Lanka and Thailand and was dedicated to the distribution and production of child sexual abuse material.
Meanwhile, the Mendoza participants had a fundamental position, as indicated by official sources. It is that, at the time of carrying out the procedures, the defendants were found with their computers on, sending material to Russia and Bulgaria.
In addition, it was possible to verify that a significant number of domains on the surface Internet dedicated to distributing and marketing explicit images were administered from this province.
The authorities also indicated that this network had assets of more than US$150,000, distributed in different virtual wallets.
After the raids and the collection of evidence, the courts ordered the immediate arrest of those involved and the seizure of all incriminating material.
