Allianz Lebanon celebrates a new achievement in the company’s history

Allianz Lebanon celebrated a new milestone in the company’s history. On this occasion, a press conference was held at the company’s headquarters in Hazmieh, in the presence of representatives of the media, members of the Board of Directors, members of the Administrative Committee and senior representatives of Allianz Lebanon. The ceremony discussed the following topics:

The ceremony opened with a speech by Mr. Christopher Townsend, Member of the Allianz SE Board of Management and responsible for Global Insurance Lines & Anglo Markets, Reinsurance, Middle East and Africa) in which he emphasized the commitment of the Allianz Group to the region and Lebanon: “We are committed to the country and have supported our company in Lebanon. to overcome the economic crisis.

Mr. Antoine Issa, Chairman and CEO of Allianz Middle East and North Africa in Lebanon, welcomed the invitees and presented the history and achievements of the company and proudly declared: “Today, after 57 years, our company name has become “Allianz”, the number one insurance brand and the world’s leading service provider.” Finance”.

He also stressed the importance of supporting the Allianz Group to overcome the emerging challenges in Lebanon, as Allianz Lebanon is the first company to recapitalize, the first to launch innovative solutions adapting to the current situation, and the first to pay the claims of the Beirut port explosion without waiting for the outcome of the official investigation.

Mr. Basem Assi, General Manager of Allianz Lebanon, presented to the attendees the detailed measures taken by the company, starting with launching innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers in volatile economic conditions, and paying 97% of the total accidents resulting from the explosion of the Port of Beirut, which constitute 1,500 claims, which resulted in the classification of customers to the company Allianz Lebanon as Loyalty Leader in life and non-life branches.

Finally, Mr. Henri Obegi, CEO of Obegi Group and grandson of the late founder of SNA Jean Chidiac, gave his view on the company’s recent developments. He stressed that “if Jean Chidiac were with us today, he would be proud to witness what SNA has become today – and to see that SNA, which is now Allianz Lebanon, continues its pioneering path with professionalism, morality and courage.”
