Alstom buys Bombardier rail division – Blick

Now the deal is dry: Bombardier is concentrating on aircraft construction for strategic reasons, according to a statement. The Canadians are therefore selling their rail division for almost 8 billion francs to the French TGV farmer and competitor Alstom.

The Canadians want to accelerate the deleveraging process. Bombardier has a huge hole in the box office: Canadians are short of CHF 10 billion. In 2019, the aircraft and train manufacturer was also deep in the red due to problems in the train business.
