In some cities it is now possible to book the time slot for delivery for a fee.

Amazon has always stood out for its great flexibility and a quick ability to adapt to market demands, especially when it comes to delivery times, such as with one-day delivery or same-day delivery of Prime Now. Now the company also launches a new service in Italy that allows choose the day and time of delivery.

The option has a cost of € 4.49 for Prime users and € 10.49 for non-Prime users. In fact, therefore, it is available to any Amazon.co.uk buyer and can in fact be an excellent option for those who must receive many products or products of value. As you can easily imagine it is not an option automatically available on all Italian soil but, second our survey, appears to be currently available in major Italian cities. It is certainly available, by way of example, in the cities of Milan, Turin and Florence. Let us know in the comments if this option is also available from you.

In our test it is possible to activate the delivery reservation on products with delivery in one day and at a cost of € 3.49, against the € 4.49 advertised by the company for Prime customers. The 2-hour time slots available are:

  • 09:00 – 11:00
  • 11:00 – 13:00
  • 14:00 – 16:00
  • 16:00 – 18:00
  • 19:00 – 21:00
  • 21:00 – 23:00

The choice of days instead is between on Monday and Friday, thus excluding Saturdays and Sundays (which are still available with classic delivery).

This is undoubtedly an important innovation that will also allow those who cannot receive parcels in an office or a manned place to receive parcels safely when they are sure of being at home, even until late in the evening.
