Amir Tawfiq, contract manager at Al-Ahly club, denied the request of South African coach Pitso Mosimane to increase his salary during the current contract, which ends at the end of the current season 2021-2022.
In statements, most notably the official website, Tawfiq said: “It was agreed to complete the current contract without any salary adjustments, and Musimani did not ask for an increase in his salary.”
Reports had indicated that Mosimane requested an increase in his salary and obtain a new contract that guarantees him to stay at Al-Ahly Club for the next 3 years.
Tawfiq added: “Al-Ahly adheres to Musimani’s continuation, given his conviction in his capabilities and ability to achieve the ambitions of the club and its fans in the coming period.”
The official website of Al-Ahly Club indicated that Musimani expressed his happiness to work in the Red Castle, revealing his desire to continue working to write a new history with the Century Club in the brown continent.
