An automated system to monitor the operation of buses has come into effect in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: An automated system to monitor the operation of buses has come into force in Saudi Arabia. It will monitor the operation of school buses and special purpose transport buses. The transport authority said that if any violation of the law is found, it will take punitive action.

Earlier, the Transport Authority had announced that the automated monitoring system will be implemented in the country from this month. The new system will monitor school buses and special purpose buses. Checking the permission to operate the bus, detecting the unauthorized buses and checking the operating period of the buses will mainly be monitored through the new system.

Through this, it will be possible to check the stability and quality of the buses and find out the amount of carbon emitted from the buses and suggest solutions if necessary. The new move is part of increasing safety and quality of public transport. The new system will also ensure compliance with regulations and technical setups set by the transport authority. The authority also stated that monitoring of more activities will be added to this later.
