In a scene that seems confusing, German Foreign Minister Analina Berbock was surprised that there were no recipients at the airport, during her arrival in the Indian capital, New Delhi, to attend the activities of the G20 foreign ministers meeting.
The situation seemed embarrassing, until the young minister laughed, with the appearance of the German ambassador, who hugged her, after he came from afar, to receive her after she got off the stairs of the plane.
The German Foreign Ministry sought to soften the criticism, saying on Twitter, “Foreign Service is a multifaceted sport… We are proud of our colleagues who do an amazing job every day.”
It was expected that there would be a committee made up of representatives of the host country and the German embassy, but she seemed somewhat angry when she was caught by the waiting reporters.
